My house recently got robbed and I wanted to find out the replacement cost of a laptop. I call Dell Sales, and get transferred to tech support immediately.

I explain I want a quote on a new laptop, they transfer me to hardware support. I tell them I want sales… they bring me to the receptionist… who then transfers me back to support.

At that point I got angry and started yelling at the agent. Transfer me to SALES and ONLY SALES.

Transferred back to receptionist… DELL HAS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!!

35 minutes later.. 35 fucking minutes! I reach sales, but its not online sales so they cant give me a quote. That was very odd, but anyway, finally after 45 minutes I get someone to give me a quote, which took 2 minutes to do.

During this time, as I was getting frustrated, they were saying “sir, don’t be rude… let me transfer you.” “TO WHERE!??!!?!! NOT SUPPORT, NOT HARDWARE SUPPORT! I DON’T EVEN HAVE A FUCKING COMPUTER ANYMORE.”

“Okay, hold on.. I will transfer you.” “WHERE?” *too late, i am in the transfer queue back to the receptionist.

If you have to call Dell, be warned.. you are in for a horrible experience.

I hate it when I am in an elevator and when I reach my floor and about to get out, the people on the other side are trying to get in.

HELLO!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?  Do you have any elevator etiquette?

You are supposed to let the people out first… wtf gives? It’s not like they were accidentally walking in, like when people are checking their text messages on their cellphones and walk in aimlessly. That, I can understand happens.

In this case it was totally deliberate. Anyways, some people just don’t know how to function in society. Even if its their 100th time taking the elevator.

Just a short rant for today… I saved the life of a cyclist the other day by naturally assuming she wouldn’t obey traffic laws. If I would have gone when the light turned green, I would have t-boned him, or more accurately, shattered every bone in his speedo-mummified body with my car. I have nothing against cyclists… I enjoy a good bike ride every now and then. What pisses me off are the ones that think they’re above the laws of the road and think they are invulnerable.

What is a rant? You would be surprised but some do not know, even those who rant themselves.

The Urban Dictionary definition of ranting:
To speak aggressively about something. or to take your own tangent about a subject and talk for a long time in a passionate manner.

The Miriam Webster definition of ranting:
1 to talk in a noisy, excited, or declamatory manner
1 to scold vehemently

Whatever your definition of ranting is, this is the place where it happens.  Look at Yoda.  Look at that face!  Did someone take a leak in his swamp?  Maybe the emperor turned another one of his jedi to the dark side.

Whatever the case, he doesn’t look too happy.   We have invited Yoda to elaborate on what was bothering him, but he has politefully declined, saying that ranting leads to hate, hate leads to the dark side, and so forth.   So while Yoda doesn’t cave in and verbally rant, he sure does it with a facial expression.

Well, there are no Jedi here, we don’t have to have such a strict measure of conduct.  If something gets to you, let it out, and show us the true definition of ranting!

So here I am driving along a road. Cyclist is in my lane. Oncoming traffic is 200m away, so as to avoid the cyclist, I creep over into the other side of the road just to give him some space. After all, the oncoming traffic is ages away. Well after I’m past the cyclist, as the opposing traffic passes me, I get a massive BEEEEEEEEEEEP. Oh ok. I am SO fucking sorry that I entered your side of the road when you were miles away to avoid a cyclist. Obviously I’m a bad driver, and I need you to remind me by beeping at me when I did nothing wrong. Maybe I should have just run him over, so as to make you happy, you halfwit piece of shit.

When you go to a restaurant sometimes the service is fine and timely, you get your food, everything is fine and dandy.

Then… it’s time to pay.

You ask for the check and you sit there waiting and waiting for it.. like all of a sudden everything comes to a screeching halt.

WTF is up with that?

I’ll keep it short and sweet.

I HATE TAKING THE BUS!

There’s a million empty seats on the bus, but no…… that person, and I am sure its happened to everyone.. that person just has to sit next to you.

I am actually eating my McD’s and talking about this.

I order the usual which is a Big Mac with Coke and Fries, and an extra Big Mac. One bigmac is ready, and the other one is being made. So the guy starts getting my drink and fries ready but leaves the big mac thats sitting there in that sliding aisle or whatever you call it.

While we are waiting for the other one to be done, someone else at another cash orders a big mac and they take my Big Mac that was sitting there.

Then… my bigmac that i was waiting for is ready… but theres only 1 mac now, and im waiting for the other mac thats in production because it was entered from the other cash.

I hate that! From now on I am going to tell them to grab hold and put it in the bag so that no one else can take it while I am waiting for something else.

Do I get a prize for ranting on here?

Start Ranting!

Has it happened to you?  Where you were waiting to get served at a counter and the person behind the counter served someone else before you even though you were there first?

It happened to me today.  Twice actually, one after the other.  I was at a bakery where you can pick up a ready made sandwich and give it to the person behind the counter to heat up.  I also wanted to order some other stuff.  Anyways…

I am there, holding the sandwich, waiting to be served, then this old bastard out of nowhere comes and starts ordering and the girl starts serving him.  I was peeved, but I was still looking at what else to order while holding the sandwich so I did’nt mind too much.  After finishing with that customer who butt infront of me, another lady calls out “I want a dozen bagels” and the girl behind the counter starts serving her too.  At this point I was pretty pissed.

Now you don’t know me, but I am one of those people who has a very low patience level.  The fact that I didn’t shout “WTF!?” to the girl behind the counter when the first guy butt in, was proving that I was having one of those days where my tolerance level was very high.

When the loud-mouth-call-out-your-order-out-of-nowhere woman came, thats what did it.  So anyways at this point, I gave the girl behind the counter shit for not serving me first.  Told her that I was there before the old bastard, and the loudmouth woman.  She responded with “oh I thought you were still looking, so I served them.”

“I am holding a fucking sandwich waiting to be served, because I can’t get the things myself.  Thats what people do at places like this, they often look inside the counter window to see what else they want WHILE they are being served.”

“I’m sorry sir.”  She says.

“You’re fucking lucky I wasn’t in a hurry today.  I would have thrown this sandwich right at you.”

“Sir now you are being rude.”

“I might throw it now then.  The last thing you should say is that I am rude.  I shouldn’t even have to pay for this sandwich for your shitty service.    Heat up my sandwich, and give me one of those meat patties and heat that up too.  The next time you see me in here, you better mentally register at what point I was in the queue when there are other people in here.”

Girl: *grumble* *grumble*

“Don’t grumble… you’re the one who fucked up.”

Complete silence at that point, I order the rest of my stuff, pay for my food and not another word came out of her mouth.

She probably ended up telling a friend or venting to another co-worker about a bad customer she had.  That’s probably the part that gets me the most.
